The moved along the forest path together, boy and feathered serpent. The boy looked to be almost sixteen...but even he was unsure of it. His brown hair was unkempt, his clothes had long ago given up being called 'new.' His mentor kept him clothed...but travel kept him looking poor. His mentor, of course, was the dragon-like being beside him. In constant, undulating movement she moved along, her long, serpentine body gracefull in its movements. The young lad couldn't recall ever seeing her staying still while awake, and even in her sleep it was impossible to tell just how long she was. Perhaps twenty or twenty five feet...he'd stopped trying to find out. Surprisingly, she had both fore- and hindlegs..though they hardly had anything to do with her movements. "Are you excited Trall?" she asked him, in a soft voice. Her emerald green feather-scales hissed as she moved along the ground. She smiled at him, displaying sharp teeth. "Or perhaps I should ask you, how do you feel?" He ~was~ excited. They'd been travelling for months...and now, sometime today, they would reach their destination. Would the people there remember him? Would he find his family? "I...I don't know, Selyna." He always addressed her in a shortened version of her whole(and for him unpronounceable) name. "What will I say? Do you think they'll even remember me?" "So you are nervous..." She chuckled. "Then it won't help if I try to convince you not to worry." "No, I guess not." She fell silent, regarding him as they walked/slithered along the small road... Tempest(Hope that wasn't too extravagant for a first post. Ah well, it probably was. I'm just in that type of mood..:p)
